A Visit from Stina Wirfelt

During the Easter holidays of my final year of studies, with the ongoing construction of Red Brick House, there was a very special visitor to the site. Stina Wirfelt is a Sweedish born artist/ film maker/video artist, living and working in Glasgow.

The ongoing work provided the ideal film set for ‘Entrances’. ‘Entrances’ was exhibited in Mexico as part of ‘Write Me’ exhibition by ‘Arte TalCual’.

Stina’s filming here was used as the first video, in a three part display, along with fictional narrative and voice-over. The beautifully composed videos are a demonstration of the displacement that occurs when watching moving image. ‘Entrances’ is yet another wonderful addition to Stina’s showcase of lens based media art genius.
